Tenerife emergency services successfully managed a series of incidents over the past 24 hours, including an industrial fire in Güímar, a vehicle rollover in La Orotava, and a brush fire in Santa Cruz.

Emergency services in Tenerife have been under significant pressure over the last 24 hours as they responded to a series of urgent incidents across the island.

Early Tuesday morning, firefighters from the Tenerife Consortium were called to a major blaze at the Güímar Industrial Estate. A fire had broken out in an oven filled with wooden pallets, but thanks to a swift response from professional firefighters, local volunteers, the Civil Guard, and the Local Police, the flames were contained before they could spread to neighboring businesses.

This was just one of several emergencies. Earlier, rescue teams were dispatched to the TF-21 road near Las Calderetas in La Orotava following a car accident. A vehicle had overturned, but emergency responders—including the Civil Guard, Local Police, and the Canary Islands Emergency Service—confirmed that the passengers were safe and did not need to be cut from the wreckage. Crews focused on stabilizing the car and clearing the road.

Additionally, on Monday afternoon, firefighters in Santa Cruz were called to put out a brush fire on a vacant lot on Goya Street. These types of fires, often caused by poorly maintained land, remain a persistent issue for emergency teams who must frequently divert resources to handle preventable hazards.

Throughout these incidents, the close coordination between Tenerife’s security and emergency services has been essential in keeping the public and local property safe.
