Tenerife emergency services rescued a 54-year-old woman who suffered a moderate injury after falling while hiking near Las Carboneras, transporting her to the University Hospital of the Canary Islands.

Tenerife's emergency services have once again shown how effective they are in natural environments. This was confirmed by CECOES 112, the Canary Islands' emergency and security coordinating center.

A 54-year-old woman was hiking near Las Carboneras, in San Cristóbal de La Laguna, when she fell and suffered a moderate injury, needing help.

Emergency services received the alert at 10:19 AM and quickly sent out several teams. Firefighters went to her location to give first aid. With help from the Local Police, they carefully immobilized her and then carried her by stretcher to where a medical team was waiting.

Ambulance staff assessed the hiker, who was then taken to the University Hospital of the Canary Islands for specialist medical care. This incident highlights how prepared rescue teams in the Canary Islands always are, especially since many people enjoy outdoor activities in the area.
