Tenerife Echeyde has launched a major restructuring of its technical departments, appointing Marc Prat as men’s head coach, Nacho Gutiérrez as women’s coach, and Edu Fernández as sporting director to professionalize the club.

Tenerife Echeyde is undergoing a major restructuring of its technical departments, marking a turning point for the club under the leadership of president David Rivas. As reported by Deporpress, the club has announced significant changes to its División de Honor teams, aiming to professionalize its operations over the coming years.

The most notable change is the appointment of Marc Prat as head coach of the men’s first team. Prat, who previously held technical roles at CN Barcelona and worked with the national team’s coaching staff, has signed on for a three-year project. He succeeds Albert Español, who spent six seasons with the club and was instrumental in establishing Echeyde as a top-tier Spanish water polo team. Rivas noted that Prat was chosen for his experience in developing young talent while maintaining the team's competitive edge.

In the women’s division, the club has promoted from within, naming Nacho Gutiérrez as the new coach of the "Guayotas." Gutiérrez, who recently retired as a player, replaces Enrique Cruz after his two-year tenure. This marks Gutiérrez’s first role as a head coach at the national level, a challenge he has identified as his top professional priority.

The reorganization concludes with the appointment of Edu Fernández as the new sporting director. Presented at the Quico Cabrera Pavilion, these changes signal a shift away from the continuity of previous years toward a cycle of comprehensive renewal. Through these new appointments, Echeyde’s management aims to raise its operational standards and ensure the long-term competitiveness of its teams in the top division.
