Tenerife duo Dyatlov will release their new single 'Mata al dragón' this Thursday, previewing their upcoming album and featuring a music video shot in abandoned Tenerife nightclubs, reflecting their unique, genre-blending style.

The Tenerife duo Dyatlov, known for their unique sound that doesn't follow popular trends, will release their new single, 'Mata al dragón,' this Thursday. This song marks a new sound for the group. It offers a taste of their upcoming album, due out on June 5. The album is being released by Malpaís Records, a label based in Lanzarote, which highlights the vibrant independent music scene across the Canary Islands.

Dyatlov's music is all about originality, always steering clear of fleeting trends. The duo loves to explore many genres, from techno and dark techno to house, synthwave, 80s synth-pop, and 90s acid, never sticking to just one style. This creative freedom also extends to how they produce their music. 'Mata al dragón' and the accompanying album were recorded, produced, and mixed by the duo themselves in their Pnumbra studio, using both old (analog) and new (digital) equipment. Daniel García handled the final mastering.

The music video for 'Mata al dragón' was filmed in two famous, but now abandoned, nightclubs in Tenerife: Noctua and Adis Abeba. This choice not only gives the video a unique look but also serves as a tribute to the island's past nightlife and cultural history.
