On Tenerife, thousands of people staged a large-scale protest against Israel's actions, expressing support for the Palestinians and demanding an end to the "genocide" in Gaza.

A large-scale protest against Israel's actions took place in Tenerife. Thousands of people took to the streets of Santa Cruz to express their support for the Palestinians. It was the largest demonstration on the island since the start of the Israeli operation in response to the Hamas attack on October 7.

The march participants, numbering over 5,000, demanded an end to the "genocide" in Gaza and the severance of all ties with Israel. The column, carrying posters, scarves, and Palestinian flags, moved from Weiler Square to Mendes Nuñez.

People chanted: "Canary Islands with Gaza!", "Where are the sanctions against Israel?". They expressed solidarity with the more than 66,000 victims in the Gaza Strip and other Palestinian territories, many of whom were civilians.

The protesters also mentioned the international flotilla that tried to deliver humanitarian aid to Gaza and condemned the attack on it by the Israeli army in international waters.

Although the start of the march was scheduled for 11:00 a.m., it was delayed as people continued to arrive. When the head of the column was already passing the Santa Cruz City Hall, Weiler Square was still full of people.

This action is part of nationwide protests that took place this weekend. Multi-thousand marches also took place in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria and Puerto del Rosario (Fuerteventura). Protests also took place in La Palma and La Gomera.

Numerous demonstrations also took place in Madrid and Barcelona. The protesters wanted to "clearly declare their support for the Palestinian people" on the day the United States proposed a peace plan and Hamas announced its readiness to discuss it and release Israeli hostages.

The organizers called this day historic, when Spaniards once again demonstrated their solidarity with "free Palestine" and condemned the horrors of war.

In Madrid, from Atocha to Callao, people protested against the genocide of the Palestinian people for three hours. According to the organizers, 400,000 people took part in the rally, while according to the government delegation, about 100,000.

The posters and songs featured slogans: "Gaza hurts me!", "Stop the genocide!", "We are all Palestine!", "This is not politics, it's humanity!", "The world is silent, Palestine is bleeding!", "Madrid will be the grave of Zionism!", "Gaza, hold on, Madrid is rising!", "Free Palestine!".

The colors white, red, black, and green fluttered on thousands of Palestinian flags, T-shirts, and watermelon badges, which have become a symbol of support for the Palestinian people around the world.
