Tenerife will support the La Laguna Book Fair with performances by Tacoronte and Solo Palique.
The Cabildo of Tenerife will support the La Laguna Book Fair with two free performances by local artists in Plaza del Cristo: storyteller Juan Carlos Tacoronte and the comedy group Solo Palique.
The Cabildo of Tenerife supports culture and believes that words unite people. Therefore, they will help organize two cool performances at the Book Fair in La Laguna in 2025. The fair will take place in Plaza del Cristo – a well-known place.
The organizers want to support local artists and bring the performances closer to the audience. Therefore, there will be two performances that combine storytelling with humor and improvisation. This will make the fair an even more interesting place, full of culture.
On Thursday, October 9, at 8:30 p.m. in Plaza del Cristo, Juan Carlos Tacoronte will perform. He is a famous storyteller and actor from the Canary Islands. He will present the performance "The Incredible Story of Aquilina Escarchi and Other Tales of Birth and the Born." There will be many emotions, memories, and warmth.
Tacoronte will recreate characters and stories that everyone knows from folk tales. He will add his own perspective on life to them. His voice – warm and strong – will turn each tale into a celebration of ordinary life and gratitude to those who lived before us.
And on Saturday, October 11, also at 8:30 p.m. and in the same place, Solo Palique will perform. They will show their usual "podcast." This will be a humorous show with improvisations by Gerson Ramos, Diego Lupiañez, Wasni Ramos, and Javier Socorro. These are four famous comedians from the Canary Islands.
They will play theatrical games, invent things on the spot, and joke a lot. The audience will also be able to participate in the performance. This will be a great way to celebrate the word – to laugh heartily together.
Culture, word, and people together
With these performances, the Cabildo of Tenerife shows that it supports the culture and talents of the Canary Islands. The Book Fair in La Laguna in 2025 will become a place where literature, theater, and people will meet to experience emotions, imagination, and humor together.
Both performances will take place in Plaza del Cristo. Admission is free, but seating may be limited.
