The Tenerife Island Council and the Circle of Entrepreneurs and Professionals of Southern Tenerife have formed a strategic alliance to streamline public management and address infrastructure and economic development gaps in the region.

The Tenerife Island Council (Cabildo de Tenerife) and the Circle of Entrepreneurs and Professionals of Southern Tenerife (CEST) have formed a new strategic alliance to better align public management with the region's economy. As one of the most significant contributors to the island's GDP, southern Tenerife has long struggled with administrative fragmentation that has delayed key projects. This new agreement aims to resolve those issues.

Signed by Council President Rosa Dávila and CEST representative Francisco Javier Cabrera, the partnership establishes a practical framework for cooperation. It focuses on critical areas such as improving transport, boosting employment, digitizing businesses, and moving toward more sustainable tourism.

The agreement goes beyond a simple statement of intent by creating a permanent observatory. Through regular meetings and technical reports, the partners plan to identify the specific infrastructure and training gaps that hinder the region's competitiveness. By ensuring that public investment matches the real needs of the area, this roadmap seeks to create a more collaborative model of governance that will improve living standards across southern Tenerife.
