The Forum of Friends of the South of Tenerife (FAST) will host its 16th annual charity gala on October 2nd to raise funds and advocate for universal, high-quality palliative care across the Canary Islands.

Equal access to end-of-life care is the primary focus of this year’s social agenda in the south of Tenerife. The Forum of Friends of the South of Tenerife (FAST) has announced that its 16th annual charity event will support "No Somos de Segunda," an Arona-based organization fighting for universal, high-quality palliative care across the Canary Islands.

This cause highlights a critical gap in the healthcare system: the geographical inequality in palliative services. The association aims to ensure that a patient’s quality of care and dignity are not determined by where they live—a right currently hindered by the uneven distribution of specialized resources.

The event, which brings together local business leaders, public officials, and residents, will take place on October 2nd at the Mare Nostrum Resort in Playa de Las Américas. Doors at the Pirámide de Arona will open at 7:30 p.m.

The evening will feature a dinner accompanied by live music and artistic performances. Tickets are 100 euros per person, or 1,000 euros for a table of ten. To reserve a spot or support the initiative, please call 660 75 61 61 or email info@fast-tenerife.org.

Through this event, FAST continues its mission of channeling private support toward urgent social needs. Beyond raising funds, the organization hopes to draw public attention to healthcare issues that require immediate action from the authorities.
