Tenerife’s transport operator Titsa is increasing service frequency across key routes and adding special night buses to manage high passenger demand during the busy Easter holiday period.

Tenerife is bracing for a busy Easter period as residents and visitors flock to the coast, putting extra pressure on the island’s public transport. To manage the surge, Titsa—the island’s transport operator—has launched a special service plan for March 28–29 and April 2–5.

This initiative aims to keep traffic moving and encourage more people to leave their cars at home. Key routes connecting the metropolitan area to the north and southeast will see significant service boosts. For example, lines 014 and 015 between Santa Cruz and La Laguna will increase their daily services by 11% and 9% respectively, while line 122 to the southeast will see a 22% increase.

Coastal routes are also a priority. Service on line 050 to Bajamar and Punta del Hidalgo will jump by 45%, and line 369 to Punta de Teno will run 14 scheduled services. Long-distance routes, such as line 100 to Puerto de la Cruz and line 111 to Costa Adeje, will adjust their schedules dynamically based on real-time passenger demand.

In the capital, line 910 to Las Teresitas beach will run every 10 minutes throughout the holiday, with expanded hours and capacity for lines 945 and 946. Additionally, Titsa is offering a free service on line 948 during weekends and holidays, connecting Azanos with the beaches of Almáciga and Benijos to improve access to the Anaga mountains.

Finally, Titsa is providing extra night buses to support major local events. Special services will run for the Greenworld festival at Siam Park on April 3 (lines 110 and 111) and the La Misa festival at Golf Costa Adeje on April 4 (lines 110 and 467), ensuring reliable transport during the early hours of the morning.
