Tenerife B Misses Promotion Playoff Chance in 3-1 Loss

Tenerife B's 3-1 loss to Rayo Majadahonda meant they missed a chance to move into the promotion playoff spots. The reserve team, who had been unbeaten for six weeks, now has 37 points. They are tied with Coria and Orihuela, but have played one less game.

Rayo Majadahonda, the league leaders and unbeaten since the fifth game of the season, showed their strength at both ends of the pitch. While this result stops Tenerife B from moving up the table immediately, it doesn't knock them out of the promotion race. They still have a postponed match against UD Las Palmas Atlético to play.
