Tenerife B Back on Track With 3-0 Victory Over Alcalá
Club Deportivo Tenerife B secured a 3-0 victory over Alcalá to solidify their fifth-place standing and regain momentum in their promotion push.
Club Deportivo Tenerife B is back on track after a convincing 3-0 win against Alcalá. According to El Día, the victory keeps the team firmly in fifth place and provides a much-needed confidence boost following a difficult run that included a heavy loss to Madrid C and a draw in the derby against Las Palmas Atlético.
The win was driven by strong set-piece play and the return of several players who regularly train with the first team. Despite missing Dylan due to injury, coach Mazinho fielded a strong starting lineup featuring Ulloa, Dani Fernández, and Fran Sabina. Their presence elevated the team’s performance, leaving the visitors with few opportunities to threaten goalkeeper Padilla.
Tenerife took control early when Joel Pérez scored from a corner kick delivered by Fernández. From there, the hosts remained defensively solid, effectively shutting down any chance of an Alcalá comeback.
The second half saw a long delay due to an officiating issue, but the rhythm of the game remained unchanged. Even with tactical adjustments from Alcalá manager Vivar Dorado, the visitors struggled to create any real danger. Tenerife continued to press, and Fran Sabina eventually doubled the lead with his seventh goal of the season, once again coming from a corner.
Viti sealed the 3-0 victory in the final minutes, capitalizing on a long ball from Padilla and an assist from Omar to score into an empty net. The result reaffirms Tenerife B’s push for promotion and proves the team has the resilience to bounce back from recent setbacks.
