Tenerife Approves €150K Arts Venue Grant
Tenerife's Island Government has approved a new €150,000 grant program to support private performing arts and music venues with fewer than 500 seats, aiming to strengthen the professional arts sector and diversify cultural offerings.
Tenerife's Island Government, through its Department of Culture, Museums, and Sports, has approved a new 150,000-euro grant program for private performing arts and music venues.
The goal, as highlighted by department councilor José Carlos Acha, is to strengthen the professional arts and music sector, help venues maintain their regular schedules, and encourage a diverse, high-quality cultural offering across the island.
Businesses, groups, and self-employed individuals who own or rent venues in Tenerife with fewer than 500 seats can apply. To be eligible, they must also commit to running a stable professional program for at least eight months between September 2025 and August 2026.
These grants will cover up to 80% of a project's budget, with a maximum of 25,000 euros per beneficiary. The funds can be used for artistic fees, accommodation, travel, copyright, and other programming expenses.
Projects will be selected through a competitive process, based on criteria such as quality, track record, budgetary coherence, and equality. Applicants will need to achieve a minimum score of 50 points.
