The Tenerife Island Council will conduct overnight resurfacing work on the TF-316 between Los Realejos and Puerto de la Cruz from September 10 to 14, utilizing alternating traffic flow to minimize disruption.

The Tenerife Island Council has announced upcoming maintenance work on the TF-316, affecting the stretch between El Toscal in Los Realejos and Punta Brava in Puerto de la Cruz. As part of the island’s routine infrastructure plan, crews will resurface a 540-meter section of the road.

To minimize disruption for residents and commuters, the work—overseen by island councilor Dámaso Arteaga—will take place overnight, between 10:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m. The project is split into two phases: the first runs from the night of Thursday, September 10, to the morning of Friday, September 11, and the second from the night of Sunday, September 13, to the morning of Monday, September 14.

The road will remain open, but traffic will be managed using an alternating flow system. Drivers should exercise extra caution, as workers and heavy machinery will be present on the road. The Roads Department asks that all motorists follow temporary signage and the directions of traffic personnel.

These repairs are essential for maintaining road safety and preventing further pavement deterioration. By scheduling the work during off-peak hours, the council aims to modernize the infrastructure while keeping traffic moving in this busy area.
