Tenerife Announces Major Structural Repairs for TF-46 in Guía de Isora
The Tenerife Island Council has announced essential overnight roadworks on the TF-46 in Guía de Isora, scheduled from June 18 to June 22, 2026, to improve pavement safety and infrastructure.
The road network in southwest Tenerife is set for essential repairs. The Island Council has announced a major structural upgrade for the TF-46 in Guía de Isora, covering the six-kilometer stretch from the start of the road. Led by the Roads Department, this project aims to fix pavement wear and improve safety in this busy area.
Work is scheduled to take place from the night of Thursday, June 18, 2026, through the early morning of Monday, June 22. To reduce disruption for residents and commuters, most of the paving will be done at night. However, the road will be completely closed to all private traffic on the nights of Thursday, June 18, and Sunday, June 21.
During these closures, drivers will be diverted to the TF-465. To keep traffic moving safely, the council has installed extra lighting and reflective markers to help guide drivers in the dark.
Officials are urging drivers to be cautious, respect speed limits near the work zones, and watch for heavy machinery and road crews. These repairs are part of a broader effort to maintain the island's infrastructure and ensure safer, smoother travel. Motorists are encouraged to check official updates and plan their journeys in advance to avoid delays.
