
Tenerife is celebrating: Bartholomew's holiday, Verbena Pamela, festivals and fireworks!
In Techin, Bahamari, and Valle de Guerra, Saint Bartholomew's Day is celebrated with various festivals, concerts, competitions, and folk festivities.
The town of Tejina is now celebrating the Day of Saint Bartholomew! Until the end of August, there will be many interesting events organized with the support of the local authorities of La Laguna.
Tomorrow in Tejina, it will be very fun at the Verbena of Pamela. People will gather in the square from 3:00 p.m., and the Dorada Band and Grupo Guaydil orchestras will play.
On Saturday, the winners of the poetry competition will be announced at the Unión Tejina Theater at 8:30 p.m. An hour later, a festive procession will begin, followed by a big party. On Sunday, the 40th Bicycle Festival will take place from 10:30 a.m., and the Sportswoman of the Year from Tejina will be chosen (for the 30th time!). It will all end with a children's festival.
And in Bajamar, the 29th Juan Rivera Folklore Festival will take place tomorrow at 9:30 p.m. The next day, at 10:00 p.m., a traditional procession will depart from there, followed by fireworks on the water and on land, as well as folk festivities.
There will also be something to do in Valle de Guerra: tomorrow at 8:00 p.m. – a festival of entertainment and the preparation of a huge paella, and on Sunday at 8:30 p.m. – a folklore festival.
