Teide Park Crash Injures Three, Car Remains on Hillside
Three people were moderately injured last Friday in Teide National Park when a car involved in a collision with a motorcycle fell 15 meters down a hillside on the TF-21 road.
Last Friday, December 5th, three people were moderately injured in an accident in Teide National Park. A car and a motorcycle were involved on the TF-21 road, between Portezuelo and Roques de García. The car ended up falling about fifteen meters down a hillside.
Four days later, the car is still in the same spot, drawing attention from tourists visiting the park. The white car, which had two people inside, landed upside down after rolling down the slope from the road. Both occupants received help from the Red Cross and the Canarian Emergency Service at the scene.
The Canarian Emergency Service (SUC) reported that all three injured individuals had moderate injuries. A 54-year-old man was taken by ambulance to Quirón Tenerife Hospital. A 69-year-old man and a 66-year-old woman were both taken to Parque Tenerife Hospital.
The 1-1-2 Emergency and Security Coordinating Center organized a full emergency response. This included the Tenerife Fire Department, who secured the damaged car, and the Red Cross, who gave first aid to the three injured people. Medical staff from the SUC then treated the motorcyclist and the car's occupants before they were taken to hospital. The Civil Guard managed traffic and completed an accident report, with help from Teide National Park staff.
