The Fussion company will present its socially conscious adaptation of Tarzan, I Am Just Like You at Tegueste’s Teatro Príncipe Felipe this Sunday at 12:00 p.m.
Tegueste’s cultural scene gets a boost this weekend with a theatrical performance that aims to do more than just entertain children. The Fussion company will present Tarzan, I Am Just Like You at the Teatro Príncipe Felipe this Sunday at 12:00 p.m.
Adapted by Leonardo Abreu, this version of the classic Edgar Rice Burroughs story moves away from simple action to focus on empathy and social integration. By using the story of a boy raised by primates, the play explores themes of acceptance, family, and how we treat those who are different.
The production features a cast including Giampiero Di Bello, Mayra Alejandra Goncálves, Leonardo Abreu, Elizabeth Morales, Aldo Tejera, Verónica Núñez, and Chris River. By combining music with a thoughtful story, the play offers an engaging experience for all ages, highlighting the importance of tolerance and community.
