Tegueste Hosts 19th Opportunity Fair to Boost Local Commerce
Tegueste will host its 19th Opportunity Fair on October 4th, featuring local business showcases and family activities designed to boost the town's economy and strengthen community ties.
Tegueste is once again looking to boost its local economy with the return of its 19th Opportunity Fair. The event, scheduled for October 4th, aims to bring the community together by blending local business showcases with family-friendly activities in the heart of the town.
Supported by the Cabildo de Tenerife and organized in partnership with the Tegueste Business Association (ASEVITE), the fair will take place along Prebendado Pacheco Street and San Marcos Square. The initiative is designed to help small local shops compete with large retailers and online shopping by turning the town center into a vibrant, active marketplace.
Mayor Norberto Padilla highlighted the event as a way to strengthen community ties, while Councilor for Local Development Maura Martel noted the fair’s long-standing success, now reaching its nineteenth year. Beyond product displays and special offers, the council has organized a variety of activities to draw people in, including a prize wheel hosted by Volcanic Xperience.
By hosting these events, the Tegueste City Council hopes to do more than just boost one-day sales. The goal is to build customer loyalty and encourage residents and visitors alike to view the town center as a go-to destination for weekend leisure and shopping.
