Local Sports Councilor Yaiza Díaz, alongside Canary Islands Basketball Federation president Carlos Olano and Tacoronte Basketball Club’s Marcos Almenar, recently introduced the event’s schedule. The day is split into two sessions: the women’s games begin at 10:00 a.m., followed by the men’s games at 12:30 p.m.

The tournament features 60 junior-level players divided into four teams, supported by a team of twelve referees. For those unable to attend in person, the games will be broadcast live online, though the public is also welcome to watch for free at the Tacoronte facility.

More than just a series of games, this event highlights the strength of youth basketball across the islands. By hosting the tournament in Tacoronte, organizers are continuing their effort to bring major sporting events to communities with a deep passion for the game, helping to grow the sport throughout the region.
