A two-car collision near Los Majuelos on Sunday caused traffic delays on Tenerife's TF-5 motorway and resulted in one person being hospitalized with minor injuries.

Traffic congestion on the TF-5 is back in the spotlight after another accident occurred this Sunday in the Tenerife metropolitan area. According to the 112 Emergency Coordination Center, two cars collided at 3:30 p.m. near Los Majuelos, heading toward the capital.

This incident highlights the ongoing issues on one of the Canary Islands' busiest roads, where frequent rear-end collisions often cause major delays and require emergency responses. Civil Guard officers and road maintenance crews were deployed to secure the scene and assist those involved.

One driver received initial medical treatment from the Canary Islands Emergency Service (SUC) at the scene. They were later taken to San Juan de Dios Hospital for further evaluation, though their injuries are considered mild. This accident serves as a reminder of the need for quick response times on a road that, due to its heavy traffic and layout, requires constant vigilance to keep island travel moving safely.
