A dangerous police chase involving a stolen car in San Cristóbal de La Laguna early Sunday morning ended with two arrests, one escape, and a crash that damaged multiple vehicles and a house.

Early last Sunday morning, a dangerous police chase in San Cristóbal de La Laguna ended with two people arrested and a third getting away. The chase started because the car involved had been reported stolen. According to La Laguna Local Police, the incident began in the La Verdellada neighborhood. Officers spotted a car driving very fast and on the wrong side of the road, posing a serious risk to everyone's safety.

This was more than just a traffic offence; it was a serious crime against road safety. Things got worse when the people in the car saw the police and sped off. As officers chased them through several streets in the Tenerife town, the car made sudden, dangerous moves, apparently trying to crash into the police vehicle.

The chase ended at the junction of La Fajana and El Drago streets, where the car crashed into a parked vehicle. The impact also damaged a nearby house and another car parked in the area. Luckily, no residents were seriously hurt.

After the crash, all three people in the car got out and tried to run away. Police caught and arrested two of them. They received medical attention for minor bruises from the accident before being taken to court. The third person managed to escape through a nearby ravine, but left their mobile phone in the car. Police sources confirmed the phone contains personal data, which is now being checked to help identify and find him.

The two officers involved also suffered minor, non-serious bruises from the impact. The ongoing investigation has confirmed that the car had been reported stolen, adding a criminal element to the incident.

Badel Albelo, the Councilor for Citizen Security at San Cristóbal de La Laguna City Council, publicly praised the officers. He commended their professionalism and calm during what he called a complex and risky operation, highlighting how important police work is for community safety.
