Stable Weather Forecast for Canary Islands as Skies Clear

Source: El Día

The Canary Islands are set for stable, mild weather this Sunday, with clearing skies and moderate temperatures expected across the archipelago.

According to the State Meteorological Agency (Aemet), Sunday in the Canary Islands will be marked by stable weather. The forecast suggests a transition throughout the day, with cloud cover gradually clearing to reveal more sunshine, particularly along the coasts and at higher altitudes.

In Tenerife, temperatures will remain moderate, ranging between 22 and 28 degrees Celsius. While the weather will be mostly stable, there is a slight chance of light rain early in the day in the northeast, and potentially in inland areas later on.

Winds will be light to moderate, blowing mainly from the north. Coastal areas in the west and south will experience typical sea breezes, while higher elevations in Tenerife can expect stronger winds from the west.

Across the rest of the islands, the weather will vary by location. The eastern islands should see skies clear quickly after the morning, while the western islands will remain cloudier. However, no significant weather issues are expected. This period of mild temperatures and light, lingering rain is typical for the islands during seasonal transitions, as trade winds help keep the climate comfortable and prevent the extreme heat often seen on the mainland.
