Stable Weather and Trade Winds Forecast for Canary Islands
The Canary Islands will experience stable weather this Thursday, characterized by trade winds, localized cloud cover in the north, and a slight rise in temperatures.
The Canary Islands will see stable weather this Thursday, according to the State Meteorological Agency (Aemet). Trade winds will continue to shape the forecast, creating different conditions between the northern slopes and the rest of the islands.
In Tenerife, clouds will gather in the north below 800 to 900 meters, with a slight chance of light rain early in the morning. Elsewhere, skies will generally be clear, especially by midday, though some clouds may linger in the south early on.
Temperatures will rise slightly, ranging between 18 and 24 degrees Celsius, though maximum temperatures may dip slightly in the northeast lowlands. Winds will blow from the north to northwest, strengthening toward the end of the day in the far northwest and near the southern slopes of Anaga, where gusts could become quite strong.
Across the region, there is some haze in the upper atmosphere, particularly affecting Lanzarote and Fuerteventura. Generally, the northern parts of the islands will remain cloudy, clearing up by midday, while higher altitudes and other areas will enjoy clear skies. Winds will be strongest overnight on the northwest and southeast slopes of the more mountainous islands, while remaining moderate at higher elevations.
