Spring Hoteles, a Canary Islands company, received the Alberto Guanche 2025 Award today for its excellent work in preventing workplace accidents.

Today, Spring Hoteles, a company that has been operating in the Canary Islands for over 40 years, received the Alberto Guanche 2025 Award. This award, sponsored by MAC, recognizes companies for their excellent work in preventing workplace accidents.

The presentation took place at the main office of the Canary Islands Accident Mutual, an organization that works with Social Security. Attending the brief ceremony were Pedro Alfonso, president of the Canary Islands Accident Mutual; Javier González Ortiz, MAC's managing director; and Jessica de León, the Canary Islands' Minister of Tourism and Employment.

Jessica de León, the Minister, highlighted that 370,000 people work in tourism in the Canary Islands. She praised tourism companies, particularly Spring Hoteles, for their significant efforts in preventing workplace risks. She described Spring Hoteles as a leading company in the Islands' tourism sector, noting its growth and strong commitment to innovation.

Pedro Alfonso, president of MAC, expressed his pride in presenting the award. He called Spring Hoteles an "undisputed benchmark" in the Canary Islands' main industry and a "standard-bearer for tourism quality" due to its clear vision and steady progress.

Javier González Ortiz added that preventing workplace risks is more than just a task; it's a core philosophy that should be part of every process, especially in the tourism sector, which drives the economy. He noted that Spring Hoteles' dedicated staff understands that safety is essential for quality service. Their approach demonstrates that effective business management goes hand-in-hand with excellent care for employees' well-being.

Miguel Villarroya Adell, CEO of Spring Hoteles, accepted the Alberto Guanche award. He used the opportunity to thank everyone and stressed that a company's true success isn't just about profits. Instead, it's about attracting talented people and making sure all 1,200 employees feel proud to be part of the team.
