Spain's Biggest Burger Festival Debuts in Tenerife
Spain's biggest food festival, The Champions Burger, opens its first Canary Islands edition tomorrow, November 27, at 7:30 PM in Santa Cruz de Tenerife, featuring gourmet burgers competing for the "Best Burger in Tenerife" title.
The Champions Burger, Spain's biggest food festival, is coming to the Canary Islands for the first time! Tomorrow, Thursday, November 27, at 7:30 PM, the festival will open in Santa Cruz de Tenerife. The Mayor of Santa Cruz de Tenerife will officially launch the event, which also involves the Government of the Canary Islands. This special "Island Edition" brings the best burgers from its successful mainland tour to compete for the title of "Best Burger in Tenerife." Media attending the opening will get to taste some of these top gourmet creations.
Mayor José Manuel Bermúdez and Alfonso Cabello, the Deputy Minister of the Presidency for the Canary Islands Government, will cut the ribbon to officially start the competition. Afterwards, they will join The Champions Burger team and the media for a tour. They'll learn more about this exciting food festival and taste some of the amazing burgers from the 14 restaurants taking part. Chefs will be on hand to explain their unique recipes, all hoping to win the "Best Burger in Tenerife" title. The restaurants will be cooking in modern, specially designed spaces.
These burgers showcase the high quality of the competition. They all use carefully selected, certified meats, ensuring they stay juicy and full of flavor. But it's the surprising ingredients that really stand out: imagine brioche buns covered in edible gold, or filled with mozzarella and coated in Doritos Bits. Other creative toppings include sweet Iberian ham, ox and pistachio caramel, bone marrow mayonnaise, bourbon-shredded beef ribs, cured meat jam, and toasted, truffled egg yolk. It's a true display of talent and new ideas from the chefs, each hoping to impress the public and be crowned the winner.
This year's Champions Burger tour has been the biggest ever, attracting over 6 million visitors in more than 50 cities. The festival has even expanded internationally with special events in Paris and Porto. Now, the country's best burgers are finally here in Tenerife!
