The National Geographic Institute (IGN) has recorded six earthquakes in the Canary Islands since Monday, including two today, Thursday. This information comes from data published by the IGN, which tracks quakes that are 1.5 magnitude or stronger, or those that people actually feel.
All these quakes ranged from 1.6 to 2.4 in magnitude. One was near El Pinar on El Hierro island, but the others happened out in the Atlantic Ocean. The IGN holds the specific data for these six earthquakes that have occurred in the Canary Islands since Monday.
Beyond the Canary Islands, stronger quakes were recorded nearby this week. One hit Azores-Cape St. Vincent on Monday, December 8th, measuring 3.8. Another, on Tuesday, was in Southern Alboran, at 3.6 magnitude.
