Sinpromi Giro Arte Premieres New Inclusive Dance-Theater Show
Sinpromi's Giro Arte group, collaborating with professional artists, will premiere a new co-created dance-theater show on December 6th at the ULL Auditorium, offering free tickets and showcasing inclusive artistic methods involving people with disabilities.
For several months, experienced artists from the regional and national performing arts scene, including choreographer Teresa Lorenzo and visual artist Héctor Gardez, have been working closely with Sinpromi's Giro Arte - Performing Arts group.
After months of hard work, they have created a new dance-theater show. It will premiere on December 6th at 6 PM at the ULL Auditorium. Tickets for this much-awaited premiere are free and can be reserved beforehand on the Auditorium's website.
They used a "co-creation" method for this project. This means everyone involved wasn't just a passive recipient of the creative process, but an active creator.
This experience highlights how professional creative work involving people with disabilities can be. It also showcases artistic methods that are "horizontal," meaning there are no strict hierarchies or different roles. Instead, everyone's ability to contribute is valued equally.
To ensure a high-quality show, Sinpromi-SL, working with LAV-Canarias, has provided a large team of professional artists for the project. This team brings together video art, dance, experimental music, and performance art to create a piece that promises to be truly impactful.
