Simón Salinas Wins Mar Abierto Talent, to Open "This is Michael"
Singer Simón Salinas has won the Mar Abierto Festival Talent competition and will open for the "This is Michael" tribute show by Lenny Jay on November 15th.
Singer Simón Salinas has won the Mar Abierto Festival Talent competition. This initiative was created by the festival to find and support new music artists in the Canary Islands.
During the competition, participants had the chance to perform on the stage of the Santiago Martín pavilion in La Laguna. The winner would then get to open for "This is Michael," a tribute show to the King of Pop, performed by Lenny Jay.
The concert is scheduled for November 15th. Tickets can be purchased online at www.festivalmarabierto.com, www.tickety.es, and www.pabellonsantiagomartin.net.
To enter, applicants had to complete a registration form, send a demo recording, and wait for the organizing team's review. After the call for entries was announced on the social media pages of Festival Mar Abierto and Mar Abierto Producciones, many artists submitted their applications. Ultimately, new singer Simón Salinas was chosen and will open the "This is Michael" concert.
