Sicilian-style bakery Pastelería Ducí is expanding its Tenerife presence with a new location in La Laguna, set to open on June 10 with promotional pricing on signature pastries.

The Canary Islands' food scene is growing, with the Sicilian-style bakery Pastelería Ducí set to open a new location in La Laguna. According to Tenerife Ahora, this expansion follows the success of their original shop in Candelaria and highlights a rising local demand for authentic, artisanal treats.

The bakery, currently located at 33 Avenida Marítima in Candelaria (open Wednesday to Sunday, 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m.), will open its new La Laguna branch at 25 Quintín Benito Street on June 10 at 6:00 p.m.

To celebrate the launch, the bakery is offering special opening-day prices: filled cornetti for one euro and "lobster tail" pastries for 50 cents. Customers should note that these promotional items must be paid for with the exact change in coins.

Pastelería Ducí has built a loyal following with classic Sicilian recipes, including tiramisu, cannoli, and various tartlets. By moving into a high-traffic area like La Laguna, the brand is testing its ability to scale while continuing to compete against mass-produced alternatives. This expansion reflects the ongoing strength and popularity of Tenerife’s artisanal pastry sector.
