An accident occurred in the capital of Tenerife: a tram hit a person. It happened on Islas Canarias Avenue, near Poggi Borsoto Street, shortly after 10 a.m.
Rescuers, police from Santa Cruz de Tenerife, and an ambulance immediately arrived at the scene, at the Cruz del Señor stop.
It is not yet known how serious the injuries are to the victim. It is said that the tram will have to be lifted to get the person out.
Due to the accident, trams are temporarily out of service. Police have closed traffic near the scene to make it easier for rescuers to work.
Titsa buses operating in the area have also changed their schedule.
