In Tenerife, a 32-year-old man sustained serious injuries from a boat propeller in Puertito de Adeje and was urgently hospitalized by helicopter.

On Sunday afternoon in Puertito de Adeje, in the municipality of Adeje, a 32-year-old man was seriously injured by a boat propeller.

As reported by the Canary Islands Emergency and Security Coordinating Center (CECOES) 1 1 2, they received a call requesting assistance for a man who was being brought ashore after an accident.

CECOES immediately dispatched a helicopter and an ambulance from the Canary Emergency Service (SUC) to the scene, as well as local and national police and the Civil Guard.

The SUC coordinating doctor provided advice over the phone on how to administer first aid until the arrival of medical personnel. Due to the severity of the injuries, it was decided to urgently transport the man by helicopter to the Nuestra Señora de la Candelaria University Hospital in Santa Cruz de Tenerife.

The injured man received first aid in the ambulance, and then the helicopter medics continued to provide assistance and stabilize his condition before taking him by helicopter.

To ensure the helicopter could land safely, personnel from various security services set up a secure zone in Puerto Colón and constantly assisted the medical personnel.

The man was taken to the hospital in serious condition, where he is currently being treated by doctors.
