On Tenerife, rescuers resuscitated a man who was pulled unconscious from a hotel pool, and he is now in serious condition in the hospital.
In Tenerife, in the municipality of Adeje, a man was pulled unconscious from a swimming pool. This happened on Sunday, September 7, around 12 noon on Paris Street, on the territory of one of the hotels.
Rescuers pulled the man from the pool, and it was clear that he had suffered a cardiac arrest and was drowning.
Fortunately, the lifeguard reacted quickly and began performing cardiopulmonary resuscitation on him. A nurse from the Canary Emergency Service gave instructions over the phone on what to do. Thanks to this, the man remained alive until the ambulance arrived.
Paramedics continued resuscitation and were able to restore his heartbeat.
The man is currently in very serious condition at Hospiten Sur Hospital. Doctors are fighting for his life.
In addition to the medics, police officers – both national and local – were working at the scene. They helped ensure safety and coordinated actions.
The lifeguard's quick reaction and the promptly arrived assistance saved the man's life. But his condition is still critical.
