
SEPCA Wins Majority in Tenerife Civil Servants' Board Elections
Tenerife's Civil Servants' Board elections saw SEPCA retain its majority with 15 seats, securing 65.01% of the vote, while CGT and UGT also won representation.
Tenerife's Cabildo held elections on Wednesday, November 19, 2025, to choose new members for the Civil Servants' Board. The voting day went smoothly and saw a strong turnout from civil servants.
Official results show that out of 1,207 eligible voters, 899 cast valid votes. There were also 7 null votes and 6 blank votes.
The Sindicato de Empleados Públicos de Canarias (SEPCA) once again secured a majority, winning 15 seats with 589 votes (65.01%). CGT came in second with 7 representatives and 258 votes (28.48%), while UGT gained 1 representative with 46 votes (5.08%).
SEPCA thanked civil servants for their participation and for placing their trust in the union. They also extended their thanks to the administrative staff and electoral board members for ensuring the day ran without a hitch.
Having reaffirmed its position as the leading organization, SEPCA pledged to continue advocating for the interests of civil servants. They will do this through negotiations, direct support at workplaces, and various communication channels. SEPCA also congratulated the elected representatives from other unions and expressed a desire to work together for common goals.
