The Canary Islands government's Emergency and Security Coordinating Center (Cecoes) reported that the incident happened off the coast of Tacoronte.
Teams from Maritime Rescue, Tenerife Firefighters, the Civil Guard, Tacoronte Local Police, and the Canary Islands Emergency Service (SUC) are involved in the search, which is being conducted by land, sea, and air.
Emergency services (1-1-2) received the alert about the incident at 10:16 PM. A witness reported seeing a person fall near the Mesa del Mar crane.
