Sociedad Deportiva San José has earned promotion to the División de Honor Juvenil following a successful playoff campaign, marking a historic season that saw all three of the club's youth teams achieve promotion.

Sociedad Deportiva San José’s recent promotion to the División de Honor Juvenil is more than just a sporting achievement; it marks the successful end of a major rebuilding project for the club. Their hard-fought victory against Puerto Cruz in the playoff final not only secures their return to the regional elite but also proves that the long-term strategy led by coaches Juan Gabriel Gil and Romen Jorge Bertling is working.

This return to the top youth division comes as the club reconnects with its roots. After three years away from the Las Delicias Municipal Field due to renovations, the team has thrived since returning home last May. The coaching staff credits their success to squad stability, the integration of competitive new talent, and the maturity of their core players. By keeping much of last season’s roster intact, the team has built a solid foundation to handle the step up in competition.

The success of the Juvenil A team is the highlight of a historic year for the club’s youth program. Remarkably, all three of the club's youth teams earned promotions this season—a rare feat that underscores the strength of grassroots football in Tenerife, especially given that San José does not have a senior team to act as a bridge. This puts the club in a strong position to focus on its primary goal for next season: staying in the División de Honor.

The road to promotion also showcased the unique spirit of regional football, particularly through the journey of Concepción de El Hierro. Despite significant travel and logistical challenges, the team from El Hierro reached the playoff semifinals, marking a historic achievement for their island. Their competitive series against San José, which ended 6-4 on aggregate, highlighted the high level of play in these playoffs and ultimately saw San José return to what they consider their rightful place in the league.
