Santiago del Teide to Host 11th Ale-Arte Festival Featuring National and Local Talent
Santiago del Teide will host the eleventh edition of the Ale-Arte Cumbre de Bolico festival from October 15 to 18, featuring a free program of national performers, local cultural exhibitions, and community-focused artistic events.
Santiago del Teide is set to become a cultural hub from October 15 to 18 as it hosts the eleventh edition of the Alexia Martel González Festival of Artistic Expressions, also known as Ale-Arte Cumbre de Bolico. Organizers have designed the program to bring high-quality culture to the local community, featuring a mix of national stars and local talent. All events are free to attend until capacity is reached.
The Chinyero Visitor Center will host most of the festival, which aims to appeal to all ages. The lineup includes several well-known Spanish performers: comedian David Guapo will bring his improvisation and monologue show to the stage on Friday the 16th; singer-songwriter Marwan will perform a retrospective of his music on Saturday the 17th; and the children’s group Cantajuego will entertain younger audiences with their show featuring Coco and Pepe.
The festival also highlights local heritage and social issues. This year features the third edition of an exhibition dedicated to the natural environment and traditional trades, with a special focus on the contributions of women in rural areas. The diverse schedule also includes street music from the Tamatimba batucada and an open-air painting session on Saturday morning. Those interested in participating in the painting event can register through the local Department of Culture.
The festival concludes on Sunday the 19th with a focus on local literature and theater. The closing ceremony will feature a poetry recital titled Recitar para Sanar (Reciting to Heal), which explores the theme of loneliness, followed by a performance of the play La Carta (The Letter) by the Cherfe Theater Group. By combining entertainment with community engagement, the festival continues to establish itself as a key event on Tenerife’s cultural calendar.
