Santa Úrsula Invests €788,000 in New Las Toscas Multicultural Space

The Santa Úrsula City Council is investing 788,000 euros to build the new Las Toscas Multicultural Space. This project is part of a wider effort to decentralize public services, bringing facilities directly into neighborhoods to help strengthen community ties and reduce the isolation often felt in areas outside the town center.

The heart of the project is a versatile 176-square-meter building. Its interior is divided into two modular rooms that can be used separately or combined, depending on what local groups need. The building also includes a kitchenette, accessible restrooms, and a design that allows for an elevator to be added later if demand grows.

The site plan goes beyond just a building. It includes a sports area for futsal and mini-basketball, as well as an outdoor gym. The surrounding area will also be improved with new parking, street furniture, and landscaping. Mayor Juan Acosta believes these changes will turn the site into a central hub for local life.

This development is part of the City Council’s ongoing plan to modernize municipal facilities. By combining indoor meeting spaces with outdoor recreational areas, the council hopes to provide more opportunities for leisure and training while giving local associations a permanent home for their activities. The project’s flexible design ensures it can adapt to the neighborhood’s needs for years to come.
