The seventh annual SUMA Festival is currently transforming Santa Úrsula, Tenerife, into a vibrant cultural hub featuring a diverse program of music, comedy, and educational workshops aimed at fostering community inclusion.

Santa Úrsula has become a cultural hub in Tenerife this week as it hosts the seventh annual SUMA Festival. The event goes beyond simple performances, focusing on social connection and education to bring the community together. Running through Sunday, the festival features a wide range of activities, including music, comedy, and the performing arts.

A key part of the festival is its "SUMA Educa" initiative, which brings professional productions like El Rey Zolito and Azúcar directly to local students. The festival also encourages people to get involved through hands-on workshops, such as improvisation sessions with Abubukaka, percussion training by Laboratorio Escénico, and singing classes with EnArmonía.

Supported by the Santa Úrsula City Council and the Cabildo de Tenerife, the program offers a mix of well-known performers and community-focused projects. The lineup includes comedy from Darío López and Abubukaka, as well as music from artists like Álvaro García, Anaé, Tonny Tun Tun, Agarau, and the Ernesto Beteta Musical-Cultural Association. The schedule also features storytelling by Melanie Henríquez, improvisation by Yeray Rodríguez, and the family concert Ellas, la Joya Interior.

The festival is also deeply committed to inclusion. By involving members of the Therapeutic Day Center for Alzheimer's Patients (CEAF) in its activities, the event aims to strengthen the community. These efforts will wrap up on Sunday with a special day dedicated to families. For the full schedule of events, please visit the festival’s official website.
