Santa Cruz will ensure the accessibility of stops for people with disabilities.
In Santa Cruz, 20 platforms will be installed at bus stops to facilitate access to transport for people with disabilities.
Santa Cruz will take care of passenger convenience! The City Council has ordered 20 special platforms for bus stops to make it easier for people with disabilities to use transport.
The fact is that some stops are located in such a way that the bus cannot drive close to the sidewalk and extend the ramp. The new platforms will solve this problem.
The installation will cost the city 190,000 euros and will take about five months. The platforms will appear near the Sea Station, on Anaga Avenue, Rambla de Aniasa and in other places (the full list is on the public procurement platform).
These platforms are made of recycled plastic, have markings and ramps for easy entry. They will be securely fixed to the road.
The City's Mobility and General Accessibility Service will monitor everything.
