Santa Cruz de Tenerife City Council is processing two requests for large New Year's Eve and New Year's Day parties while extending operating hours for entertainment venues during the Christmas period.

Santa Cruz de Tenerife City Council has received two requests to hold large private parties over the Christmas period. One is for New Year's Eve (December 31st) behind the Auditorium, and the other is for January 1st, 2026, at the Palmetum.

Local councilor Zaida González told DIARIO DE AVISOS yesterday that both applications are currently being processed. Farra World submitted the request for the 'Día Uno' party near the Auditorium, while Thr33 Events applied for a party, also called 'Day One', at the Palmetum.

The councilor also mentioned that nightclubs and other entertainment venues holding Christmas or New Year's Eve parties do not need to apply for special permits, as they already have the necessary licenses for their regular activities.

To meet public demand, support local businesses, and respond to requests from the entertainment industry, the urban planning department has also extended the opening hours for bars and nightclubs on December 24th, December 31st, and Monday, January 5th.

On these dates, nightclubs, dance halls, and party venues with shows can stay open until 7:30 AM. Concert venues can open until 6:30 AM. Cafe-theaters, cafe-concerts, and tourist spots offering music or karaoke can operate until 5:00 AM.
