Coupons in Santa Cruz are flying off the shelves: 555 in 4 hours!

In Santa Cruz, the last 555 shopping vouchers were snapped up in 4 hours! This was announced by the city's mayor, José Manuel Bermúdez. He said that they launched three new "features" to support this initiative again, and it worked perfectly.

The mayor reminded that now the vouchers can be used in any district of the city. They also increased the limit for shops on La Rosa Street – from 6,000 to 8,000 euros.

Bermúdez emphasized that these changes helped support local businesses. And he added that in just one day, vouchers worth 13,000 euros were used on La Rosa Street!

He also reminded that now you can pay with vouchers in any store that still has an available limit, regardless of the district. This opens up new opportunities and, hopefully, will help local entrepreneurs earn more.

Carmen Pérez, director of the Development Society, said that since June, when the program started, almost 575,000 euros worth of vouchers have been used in stores – that's 86.84% of all vouchers sold. She reminded that the vouchers are valid until November 16, so don't delay your purchases!

Pérez also noted that out of the 319 stores participating in the program, 302 have already used at least one voucher. This is great news, as almost all local entrepreneurs have benefited from this initiative. Vouchers were used most actively in the Southwest district (96%), and least actively in Anaga (73.71%).

Thanks to the new limit for shops on La Rosa Street, 41 shops in the city have reached the turnover limit, 13 of them on La Rosa Street.

Finally, Pérez reminded that vouchers can be used until November 16. And shops that want to join the program can still register. The Development Society will continue to support such projects that help local businesses.
