República de Honduras Street in Santa Cruz de Tenerife will close for 48 hours starting August 26 for a €73,000 repaving project, necessitating a temporary detour for bus line 909.

República de Honduras Street in Santa Cruz de Tenerife will be closed for repaving starting next Wednesday. The project, part of the city’s "Urban Impulse" initiative, has a budget of 73,000 euros to improve local road infrastructure.

The street will be completely closed to traffic for 48 hours, and parking will be prohibited in the area during this time. Mayor José Manuel Bermúdez and Public Services Councilor Carlos Tarife stated that the work is essential for improving road safety and function, and they have asked residents to follow all posted signs to help reduce traffic delays.

The construction will also affect public transport. The Department of Mobility and Universal Accessibility announced that bus line 909 will be diverted while heading toward the La Alegría neighborhood.

This detour will be in effect from 8:00 p.m. on August 26 until 6:00 a.m. on August 28. Instead of its usual route along Marina Street, the bus will travel via Arquitecto Marrero Regalado, San Isidro, Rambla de Santa Cruz, and Francisco la Roche Avenue before returning to its normal path.
