Santa Cruz Taxi Drivers Plan Dec 19 Protest Against Council
Santa Cruz de Tenerife taxi drivers will stage another protest tomorrow, December 19, from 6 PM to 9 PM on Tres de Mayo Avenue, over the city council's handling of their demands.
Taxi drivers in Santa Cruz de Tenerife are planning another protest tomorrow, Friday, December 19. They will be demonstrating against how the city council is handling their requests.
Élite Taxi, the drivers' association, has organized this second demonstration. Their first protest took place on December 12 in the city center. This time, however, both the route and the schedule will be different.
Miguel Ojeda, president of Élite, confirmed on Thursday that the protest will run from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM. Drivers will form a caravan along Tres de Mayo Avenue, traveling from the El Corte Inglés roundabout to the Atlántida hotel.
