Santa Cruz Offers Free Sightseeing Bus Tours to Tenerife Residents During Easter
The Santa Cruz City Council is offering Tenerife residents free double-decker bus tours through April 5 to encourage locals to explore the capital's history and architecture during the Easter holidays.
The Santa Cruz City Council has partnered with City Sightseeing to offer free tours of the capital to all Tenerife residents during the Easter holidays. This initiative, which runs until April 5, aims to help locals rediscover the city’s history and architecture.
By opening up these double-decker bus tours, the council hopes to bridge the gap between residents and tourist services, encouraging locals to learn more about their city through the onboard audio guides.
To take advantage of the offer, residents can board the buses starting at 4:00 PM each day. To get a free ticket, you must visit the main stop at Plaza de España and present your original National Identity Document (DNI) to prove you live on the island.
Mayor José Manuel Bermúdez stated that the program is designed to make the most of residents' leisure time during the holiday. City Sightseeing also views the collaboration as a great way to integrate the local community into the city’s tourism scene, offering families a new way to enjoy the sights of Santa Cruz.
