Santa Cruz Museum Hosts Christmas Trombone Concert
Today at 12 PM, the Tenerife Trombone Quartet performs a Christmas-themed concert at the Santa Cruz de Tenerife Museum of Fine Arts, marking the final event of the VibraMUS cycle.
The Santa Cruz de Tenerife City Council, through its Culture Department (OAC), is holding the final concert of the VibraMUS cycle today, Sunday, at 12 PM at the Museum of Fine Arts. This initiative brings together art, education, and community, transforming the museum into a hub for music, heritage, and citizens.
The final event, called "Christmas Concert at the Museum," will feature the Tenerife Trombone Quartet. They will offer a Christmas-themed musical performance inspired by the tradition of "ministriles" – wind instrument players often seen in 17th and 18th-century art. Tickets cost just three euros and can be bought online via the city's ticket website.
The Tenerife Trombone Quartet, made up of Cristo Delgado, Pablo González, and Ismael Brajín on trombones, and José Luis Domínguez on tuba, will play a diverse selection of music. Their program includes classical pieces, popular songs, and Christmas-themed compositions from artists like Albéniz, Debussy, and Piazzolla to Mel Tormé, Gershwin, and Benito Cabrera.
