The security operation for the Santa Cruz de Tenerife Carnival's Murgas Contest final concluded successfully, with nearly 200 professionals managing 17 minor incidents and 16 non-serious medical cases.

The security operation for the Murgas Contest final at the Santa Cruz de Tenerife Carnival concluded with 17 minor incidents, according to officials at the Advanced Command Post (PMA) located next to the Tenerife Exhibition Center.

In total, 16 people received medical attention, mostly for minor issues like small injuries, falls, dizziness, or vomiting. Of the assistance provided, 12 cases involved women and five involved men. No serious situations were reported.

Nearly 200 professionals took part in the operation. They came from various services, including police, medical teams, firefighters, Civil Protection volunteers, security guards, and access controllers. This event was one of the first big gatherings of this year's Santa Cruz Carnival.

Santa Cruz de Tenerife's Local Police sent 45 officers, working both inside and outside the venue. Their team included foot patrols, a Canine Unit (featuring dogs like Thor), and a Drone Unit, all focused on prevention and support throughout the event.

National Police units also worked alongside the other teams.

The Spanish Red Cross handled the medical services, deploying 35 professionals. They staffed a Medical Post inside the venue and had patrols moving through the stands. Their equipment included three Basic Life Support (BLS) ambulances, one Advanced Life Support (ALS) ambulance, and a Rapid Intervention Vehicle (RIV).

The medical team itself consisted of two doctors, two nurses, a general coordinator, and two resource managers, all of whom also worked from the Advanced Command Post.

The Advanced Command Post (PMA) was the central hub for the entire operation. Staff there included a CETRA-Cecopal operator, a Civil Protection technician, a communications technician from the City Council's Security and Emergencies department, and a Local Police communications officer.

Nineteen firefighters from the Tenerife Fire Department Consortium were also at the PMA, on standby for any emergencies throughout the event.

Civil Protection volunteers from Santa Cruz de Tenerife contributed 13 members and a BLS ambulance. They were joined by ten volunteers from Güímar and four from La Orotava.

Rounding out the team were 35 security guards and nearly 30 access controllers, who managed crowd flow and organization at the Exhibition Center.
