A 54-year-old man was arrested in Santa Cruz de Tenerife after police discovered two kilograms of hashish and over 44,000 euros in cash at his home during an investigation into domestic violence.

A 54-year-old man has been arrested in Santa Cruz de Tenerife on suspicion of drug trafficking and domestic violence. National Police officers found two kilograms of hashish and over 44,000 euros in cash at his home.

The incident began when Local Police were called to a house in the Ofra neighborhood. A report stated that the man was acting aggressively towards his mother. When officers arrived, they found the man exhibiting signs of anxiety and aggression.

Healthcare services were present and helped to calm the man. At this point, officers noticed several blocks of hashish, a large knife, and cash on a table. The house was secured, and the National Police were called to take over.

The Local Police's Canine Unit also assisted in finding more cash and drugs.

After gathering information and following proper procedures, National Police officers, with a warrant, searched the home. They discovered two kilograms of hashish and a total of 44,483 euros in cash.

The man was arrested for alleged drug trafficking and handed over to the judicial authorities.
