Users will protest today at 6 PM outside the Santa Cruz de Tenerife State Public Library, demanding the Canary Islands Government address long-standing issues with services, accessibility, and investment.

Today, Monday, starting at 6:00 PM, a protest will once again take place in front of the Santa Cruz de Tenerife State Public Library. Users are deeply unhappy with the long-standing lack of services and resources at the center, which is managed by the Canary Islands Government.

Under the slogan "Enough is enough! We demand the library we deserve," the protest demands several improvements. These include opening the library on weekends and providing full-time services for children and young people. Protesters also want the elevator to work and better accessibility throughout the building. More broadly, they are calling for greater public investment in all Canary Islands libraries.

Since last year, users have been complaining about the problems at the capital's library, and many others across the islands. They blame these issues on insufficient investment from the authorities. It's worth noting that the two main state public libraries, in Tenerife and Gran Canaria, are overseen by the regional government.
