Santa Cruz de Tenerife is launching a European Union-supported Tapas Route from November 3rd to 22nd in the Rambla and Salamanca areas, offering tapas and drinks for four euros to boost local businesses and showcase Canarian cuisine.

Santa Cruz de Tenerife is launching a new Tapas Route in the Rambla and Salamanca areas to boost local businesses. The event, which runs from November 3rd to 22nd, is organized by the Development Society of Santa Cruz de Tenerife.

According to the Mayor, José Manuel Bermúdez, this initiative, supported by the European Union, aims to encourage people to visit local restaurants and enjoy the city's food and culture.

For just four euros, you can enjoy a tapa and a drink (beer, wine, water, cider, or soft drink). The route will focus on Canarian cuisine, using local products, especially from Anaga, and will highlight wines from Tenerife.

Carmen Pérez, CEO of the Development Society, said the event will not only boost local bars and restaurants but also showcase the area's culinary identity. It's a great opportunity to discover new places.

Pérez also mentioned that this event will attract both locals and tourists, promoting the city's food scene and diversifying its tourist offerings.

Participating restaurants and the public can win prizes. The restaurants with the best tapas, as voted by the public, will receive a social media campaign worth at least 500 euros and certificates. People who vote will be entered into a draw to win one of three 100-euro vouchers.

Restaurants in Santa Cruz de Tenerife can participate, with priority given to those in the Rambla and Salamanca areas. Registration is free and open until October 27th at 2:00 p.m. There's a limit of 80 establishments. You can register online or get more information by emailing comercio@sociedad-desarrollo.com.

The Tapas Route is part of a larger plan to improve commerce in the Rambla and Salamanca areas, with funding from the European Union.

A bilingual (Spanish and English) web app will be available with a map of all participating restaurants and details about each one. You can use the app to vote for your favorite tapas, but to ensure fairness, votes will only be valid if made within 200 meters of the restaurant.
