Santa Cruz Launches Pest Control Initiative in Centro-Ifara District
Santa Cruz de Tenerife is launching a targeted pest control initiative in the Centro-Ifara district from October 13 to 16, urging residents to report sightings via the "SC Mejora" platform.
Santa Cruz de Tenerife is launching a new phase of urban health management to tackle pest control in the Centro-Ifara district. Coordinated by the city’s Sustainability department, this initiative focuses on both monitoring and treating areas prone to rodents and insects.
The operation will run from October 13 to 16. The schedule is as follows:
- Tuesday: Salamanca and Las Acacias
- Wednesday: Salamanca
- Thursday: Las Mimosas
- Friday: Los Hoteles and the area surrounding the Rambla
The City Council is asking for the public’s help to make these efforts more effective. Residents are encouraged to report any pest sightings immediately through the "SC Mejora" digital platform, which allows the city to track and respond to issues more efficiently.
Beyond these treatments, local authorities are reminding residents that good hygiene is essential to preventing pests. Proper waste disposal, keeping common areas free of organic debris, and avoiding the buildup of clutter are key to keeping the city clean and reducing the need for chemical treatments.
